Monthly Archives: March 2008

I had a marathon this weekend, a marathon of inventory organizing and purging. I will not bore you with the number of hours I worked on it and I am happy to report I have lost a weighty 4K, but the road is long and I have only begun this journey! Non the less I was feeling lighter and I worked so diligently so I treated myself to a few new items.

I picked up these great sculpty snakeskin boots at Shoe Fly. What a brilliant marketing scheme at this store. I believe Fashcon group received a 100L gift card to use, and though there are shoes that fall into that category or slightly outside of it, I went for the big enchilada. These fab little boots will set you back 400L. Needless to say I was terribly pleased with a bit of a discount. Let me also mention they are mod, naturally they are a very bright silver grey shade, I darkened them slightly to tie them into my outfit a little better.

I bought this jacket at MG Fashions months ago and never wore it (lost in inventory bedlam) Now with my clothing is all sorted I wanted to show it off. It has a fabulous texture; I was actually worried about finding something to pair with it on the bottom because the detail is so staggeringly realistic, but the pants paired well and give good bum! In all I believe inventory maintenance, for me, has proved fruitful!

OK, so no outfit today, but as I was pouring over feeds I saw that Starley Therian of Celestial Studios has put out a few new items. I have to admit, my love affair with CS has waned. Her line used to be the only skin I wore, like many, and that was part of the problem for me. I love to be my own thing, and the grid is only so big. So when I started seeing my face on everyone else, well I knew it was time for a change.

I had originally found CS because of shoes, I saw someone who had the cutest pair of heels and after a bit of peaking I found myself standing on the steps of Celestial Studios (insert dramatic chanting music here) I bought jeans and belts, fantastic little tops and I think a wig or two. I didn’t even look at the skins on my first few visits. Then word got out she had a great line and yes, it is everything people had touted it to be and so I bought…and bought…and bought.

These new designs have renewed my interest! I have not had a chance to go and check the items out myself but I am very much looking forward to stepping back in to see what I have missed. How delicious is that little yellow dress? Her post showed the black top in a lovely grey that was actually what piqued my initial deeper look. Ohh the excitement…I’m counting the minutes.

I am mad about the resurgence of era clothing! Mix and match pieces that make it easy to put great looks together. In the day I was a little roller diva so when I saw this great jumper come across the feeds I had to run right out and get it…

It is really snug in all the right places and is just flirty and sexy enough not to bring forth images of an adolescent girl. The colors are delicious and so very Spring. I paired it up with knee socks cause I love socks. It’s odd how many socks I have in my inventory. Topping it all off with the most fabulous trick skates on the grid. I need a truly huge, flat, lag free surface to do some tricks, jumps and tirelessly spin round in circles.

Oh and let me mention my other newest little love items, Canimal’s Blingphones. As I have been telling you yellow is my new pink so when I saw these little beauties in gold I made them mine! They are really detailed and I love the little poof of music notes and stars they emit. Wee now I am off to the roller derby to get my skate on!
