“She’s a maniac, maniac on the floor.
And she’s dancing like she’s never danced before!”

Who did not love Flashdance? Quintessential 80’s movie! On a recent visit to Sugar Mill I was reminded of quite a few of my favorite 80’s flicks and when I came upon the most brilliant She’s a maniac prop and pose I let out a huge laugh much to the delight of Anicia Medici, goofy creator extraordinaire! Ani has been away with computer troubles for some months and I had to admit I had sort of forgotten about Sugar Mill. When is the last time you where there? Mmhmm, you should head over now. So as I left promising Ani that I would be back more often, I was eager to put together my very own Flashdance scene.

First stop was to hit up the Internet for a video because frankly I was humming the tune in my head and wanted to sing along. Then I starting gathering up pieces. First lingerie shop I went to and I hit the jackpot. This ruffled teddy is almost a perfect match to the one Jennifer Beal sported. And my my does it give a peak at the bum!

Shoes…shoes…hmmm…Shiny Things! Tuxedo shoes with a tiny bow are perfect. While there I also saw the newly released jewelry. I grabbed some beautiful earrings, hard to see in the hair I know so you should go check it out. Several earring styles bracelets and necklaces in gold and silver. To top it all off, literally, went to Zero Style for a hair style I have always looked at but just never really needed. Well refer back to the video, check out her hair after the water hits her. Viola! Wet permed 80’s hair! I’m an 80’s flashback! Thanks to Ani for bringing on all this fun and so glad to have you back creating nuttiness! I will say it again, Norman Bates!!

I am feeling a major case of “I need a holiday”. I live in a state that averages 300+ days of sun a year. I don’t really feel I am seeing much of it these days although it is out there. I am feeling the need for major sun, mixed drinks, water inches away from my person. A HOLIDAY!! Being that a beach vacation is not in my immediate future I did the only thing I could; virtual vacation.

There are upsides to this sort of vacationing. At no point is my drink ever empty, sand at no point will be in everything I own, sunburns are a thing of the past. Yes, virtual vacationing, the wave of the future. I dressed the part. Lovely swimsuit and a sun hat oh and let us not forget heels. Another benefit to this VV. I can wear heels on the beach and not look like a complete dork! Yay for pixelated sand, woo hoo! Keeping this really short and simple today.

You know those songs or phrases that get stuck in your head on an endless loop? No? Here let me help you… “Thanks Easter Bunny, bawk bawk” “How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop? Let’s find out: 1…2…3(crunch) The world may never know” “Hammer time, do do da doot da doot da doot Can’t touch this” Yes, it is a sick and twisted place, my mind. I never claimed otherwise. So when I saw this wiener belt well of course what happened? “Oh I wish I had an Oscar Meyer wiener” For days, it’s a curse. I am hoping that Something will come along to dislodge this jingle from my mind. Perhaps the tootsie roll song! But enough about my warped mind.

Sugar does not get any sweeter than this uber wholesome look I’m sporting today. I got these super cute jeans at Kurotsubaki the other day and I have been dying to wear them. Though they do nothing for my backside the slouchy cuffs more than make up for that. They are a great color and texture and look sexeh on the tummy. Perhaps I need to get a sweatshirt to wrap around my waist. (counts the coins in her pocketbook) Because the tummy is so nice I didn’t want to cover it up and make the look too heavy and hot, it is summer after all. I chose a bright satiny tank in pink and yellow. Yes, the sugar is definitely flowing at this point so I sassed it up with yellow stilettos and yes kept it all fun because of the giant wiener wagon belt. I do so love Nylon Pinkney!

And whoa, pink uber cute to me says Juicy, Gorgeous Yongho’s sim. I have not been there in some time and it’s now a metropolis of who’s who in the virtual fashion world. The place has ballooned in a really great way and deserves an in depth look. The only thing that is missing is a giant wiener cart vendor… “That is what I truly be…..”
