There is something about wearing men’s clothes that I just love. One it means it’s probably not on the man and that is just the cake topper! Men in power roles wear suits, nice three piece jobs with a silk tie and maybe a vest or my personal faves, suspenders. Mmm, heaven. Woman in the same sort of roles, though they look nice is suits, I just don’t feel the suit makes the woman like it does the man. I heard a line in a movie once that said women dress like they think men would if they were a woman instead of dressing like a woman, or something to that effect. it’s true. Today I disassembled the outfit and ran off with the shirt and tie. This is my perfect pink. Not overly pink but a subtle rosy pink. Now this shirt was made for a man so I had to do a little reducing of size and moved the tie pieces out so that mah tots didn’t eat it. the cuffs and pocket were also a simple downsize and viola, killer combo of wrinkled fabric and relaxed yet chic looking men’s shirt! It will forever be commandeered to mine closet.

I wanted a nice crisp white skirt and I had my heart set on one that is unfortunately a Last Call outfit it seems I don’t have, didn’t think that possible! So I went with this mini that is part of a dress. This has to be the strangest skirt prim I have ever worked with it is three pieces and some of the textures are wood and it took several minutes to get them wedged in my body and looking right. Maybe I will message the creator and ask if she has done an update on it… Lastly I am in love with these new kicks! Slouchy layered legwarmer on big boots. How adorable is the little strawberry bauble? Bonus that each purchase comes with 2 pairs, one in the color you chose and the other in white with said purchased color accents. Now for my fan girl moment. I love Dove Swanson. She is great at making fun sassy poses! Was lucky enough to get the Spice set as a gift from Dove and they are great! She told me I own like 1/3 of her entire inventory. Cheers to Dove for posing me up so pretty like! Now go buy the Spice set!

It’s a ridiculous thought for me, when I have a limited time to come in, put together an outfit, photograph it and prepare the pictures for upload, to realize “I have nothing to wear”. It truly blows my mind as I wait for my inventory to load. Today I typed the word Gold into the search and up popped this dress; I have no clue as to when I got it. I tried on a series of legging and stockings thinking I could spice it up and nothing was doing the frock justice, so I kept simple with the dress and jewelry. The dress has a interesting sheen to it, sort of bumpy if you will. I know what it feels like to see it, somewhere someone I knew had something made out of what it looks like it feels like. Wow did that make any sense at all? It’s sort of one of those it tastes like something smells…Bengay and Wintergreen Lifesavers come to mind. Anyway back to the dress (Yes, I’m rather daft!) There is a neat option in the folder that gives you a gold, as I am wearing, or silver rope belt. The only trouble I had is that the dress is a chest attachment, which was not allowing me to wear the choker I has chosen. A copy and a bit of adjusting later I now have a spine attached skirt. (*Note to designers* If you have an item that has an odd attachment place, please include one that is attached to an alternate location if possible). The skirt is a mix of sheer and solid panels in a slightly lighter gold color that gives it a very interesting depth and shimmer.

The shoes are a real find and I thank Beaning Canning for pointing us all to the wonders of Asian sims. These shoes are 90 lalas, it’s almost unbelievable. In the folder there is a normal gold version (worn) and a full bright version, ya know for burning up the dance floors! Oh my gosh, I just thought of the Solid Gold dancers. Man, I loved that show when I was a kid! The jewelry is from the now closed Second Mirage. What a bummer, one of the first “fashion” shows I went to was the release of their new jewelry line in which I got this great choker and cuff set. Who knows maybe they will come back.

The last item I want to talk about is this insanely great step pose prop. TorridWear is my new favorite pose shop.  The step comes with the full pack of 8 poses which can be purchased separately but spring for the whole set. The steps are menu driven to switch poses and are also modifiable so you can tint them to suit your set. The poses themselves are wonderfully done. Great hands, realistic movement, and oh so clever! I believe it’s 500 for the full set and worth every penny!

What do you think? Am I a girly girl? I just don’t really think I am. I can be all girl, dress the part, be the part but Cerrie is just not all into the foof and fluff. I’m a girl happy with simple stuffs. I have a friend who is telling me that I am adorable all the time. Not sexy and hot and all those things that would make me feel sinister inside but adorable, cute and sooo sweet. Nothing at all wrong with that. So today I am playing up that uber sweet, cute, adorable girl that he thinks I am.  I tried for quite awhile yesterday to put an outfit together, sometimes it just doesn’t happen when like a lightning bolt late last night I remembered picking up this insanely great top. I’m a sucker for a good red color and this buttons it up nicely. Pairing up sculpted ruffles with a plunging neckline is a home run. Add in the criss crossing back complete with prim ribbon and we have a grand slam! Though the texture does distort a bit on my tots the red is vibrant and the dots add that extra bit of love. The ruffles shading on the chest is also well done no matter the bit of stretch going on. Oh and hello belly baring goodness! Yep, love this top!

The top gave me a bit of a Daisy Duke feel so I went with a denim mini I had long ago acquired. Top notch work here with a great added coin detailing along the hem. Love the low on my hip hang of the skirt and the prim skirt attachment is flexi and I just don’t see many made like this anymore. Note to self, wear this skirt more! Knee socks are a must. I don’t typically mention my poses because I do random mixes from a HUD but this set is from Sugar Mill. Ani has created a really sweet set called You oughta be in pictures. She’s a goofy one but I do so love her poses. haven’t been in awhile? You should stop in, she just released a heap of new stuffs! I’m off to go torture someone! Don’t know who but the hunt is half the fun!
